Recent Awards
ADPA has attended several regional and national competitions since 2000, including “L.A. Dance Force”, “Co. Dance”, “Spotlight”, “Starbound” and “International Dance Challenge”.

Here are just a few of the most recent honors and awards given to ADPA and its Master Class competition dancers.

2008 “Spotlight Dance Cup” Spokane Regionals

7 Diamond, 11 Ruby, 4 Emerald

• Jr. Division Champion:  Goody Two Shoes (Tap)
• Petite 1st runner up Division Champion:  Trouble (Tap)
• Jr. Division Top 4:  Brady Bunch (Novelty)
• Jr. Division Top 10:  Groove is in the Heart (Tap)
• Sr. Division Top 10:  Beat Box (Tap) and Hocus Pocus (Tap)
• Diamond Soloist:  Ally Brady (Pointe) I'm Just a Girl That Can't Say No

2008 "International Dance Challenge" Seattle Regionals

4 Platinum, 5 High Gold, 10 Gold, 2 Sterling Silver

• "Best Costume" ADPA Sr. Division
• "Best Precision" Beat Box (Tap)
• "Jr. Entertainment Challenge Contender" and "Judges Choice Awards" Goody Two Shoes (Tap)
• "Sr. Challenge Champion" and "Sr. Entertainment Challenge Champion" I've Got Rhythm (Production Open)

2007 “International Dance Challenge” Regionals

• Special Judges awards for Jazz and Tap

• Precision Award for Tap

• “Brady Bunch” Character: Best Costume, Entertainment Challenge Champion, 2nd runner up Challenge Champion, 2nd runner up ULTIMATE Challenge Champion.

• “Fat Sam’s Grand Slam” Tap: 2nd runner up Challenge Champion.

• Sr. Division; 5 Platinum, 11 Gold

• Special judges awards for Tap

• “Cars That Go Boom” Hip-hop: Entertainment Challenge Contender

• “Din Da Da” Tap: 1st runner up Challenge Champion

• “Bohemian Rhapsody” Production Jazz: Challenge Champion

• “Glory Box” Lyrical” 2nd runner up Challenge Champion

2006 “Starbound National Talent Competition”

Thirty-seven Master Class students ranging in ages from 9-20 represented ADPA at the National level along with other schools from Canada, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Washington and many other states.

 

ADPA received 5 HIGH GOLDS, 10 GOLDS, and 1 High Silver. BreAnne Brown (Jazz), Allyson Brady (Tap), and Jaclyn Auvil (Tap), all received GOLD for their solo performances. Miss BreAnne Brown was also crowned “Miss Star of Hope” and will serve as the Starbound Ambassador for 2006.

Special “Judges Choice” awards were given to the following dances:

• “Going Bananas” Jazz Choreographed by Tracy Kentnor

• “Merlin Jones” Character Choreographed by Andrea Anderson

• “The House Is Rockin’” Tap Choreographed by Tracy Kentnor

“Best Costume” awards were also given. Receiving ALL THREE were ADPA.

• 3rd place: “Body Language” 2nd place: “Going Bananas” 1st place: “Copa Cabana”

High Score Awards were given to the following:

• 3rd overall in the entire Jr. duo/trio division, “Merlin Jones” character

• 6th overall in the entire Jr. division, “Pennsylvania 65000” Tap

• 5th overall in the entire Sr. division, “Bad Bad Thing” Jazz

2005 “International Dance Challenge”

• Jr. Division: 1 Platinum, 3 Gold

• “Wink and a Smile” Tap: 1st runner up Challenge Champion

• “Jailhouse Rock” Tap: Winner Challenge Champion, 1st runner up ULTIMATE Challenge Champion, Entertainment Challenge Champion, Best Choreography.

• Sr. Division: 1 Platinum, 10 Gold

• “Beat Box” Tap: 2nd runner up Challenge Champion

• “Tom Jones” Jazz: 2nd runner up Challenge Champion

• “Fantastique” Lyrical: 1st runner up Challenge Champion

• “Are You Deaf” Tap: Entertainment Challenge Contender

• “Body Language” Jazz: Best Presentation

2004 “Spotlight”

• Jr. Division: 2 Diamond, 1 Ruby

• Teen Division: 2 Ruby, 1 Emerald

• Sr. Division: 3 Diamond, 1 Emerald
