Tracy Kentnor

 

Tracy.jpgMiss Tracy graduated from Wenatchee High School. During her prep education years she studied Ballet with Joan Shelton at the Wenatchee School of Ballet, performed with the Wenatchee Youth Circus for 18 years, and taught dance classes at local studios. She spent 5 years at Eastern Washington University. where she studied music, ballet, jazz and education and received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. She taught at EWU dance and gymnastics camps and received “Best Teacher Awards”. While at Eastern, she was an assistant teacher in the athletic department and a featured soloist with the Spokane Ballet Company. She has studied with Arlene Wagner, Founder of Dance Masters of America, Pacific Northwest Chapter #39. Miss Tracy has attended Master Teacher courses in New York as well as attended teacher classes at the LADF National Convention. She is also a corporate member of the “Royal Academy of Dance” London 2003-2008, and the “International Tap Association” 2003-2008.

Tracy toured as a professional dancer for 7 years. She has performed, danced and held the position of “Dance Captain” and “Assistant Choreographer” in many shows, ranging from Magic Shows, Vegas style Reviews, Circus, Rock Tours, Motown and Blues, and also various Broadway style reviews. She has traveled and performed in Japan, Bahamas, West Indies and various locations in the U.S. While in Japan and Bahamas, she taught gymnastics, dance and aerobics as a professional guest.

Recently, she has worked with the choreography for Wenatchee Music Theatre productions of “Grease”, “Chorus Line” and "Thoroughly Modern Millie”. Miss Tracy and competition dancers have won several honors and national awards, including best choreography, technique, and presentation awards. Miss Tracy has also been commended for her “age appropriate” choreography at several competitions, plus the studio has also received awards for best costuming at both Regional and National levels.Miss Tracy will be attending the National Teacher Conference for certified instructors this coming August in New York.



Arlene Wagner

 

1334001-1006990-thumbnail.jpgArlene Wagner is well known in the dance world for her outstanding work with children. She was on the teaching staff of “Dance Congress” in New York, “Texas Association Teachers of Dance” in Austin, and “Dance Masters” conventions throughout the United States. She was instrumental in forming the “Dance Masters Northwest” chapter, served as it’s president for several years, and represented the Northwest on the National Board. 1334001-1006996-thumbnail.jpg

Arlene still does occasional choreography for musicals and ballets, and is mentor to several current teachers who formerly studied under her. Aside from her contributions to the dance community, Arlene and her husband George currently reside in Leavenworth, Washington where they own and operate the “Nutcracker Museum” (NussKnacker Haus). The popular gallery which showcases over 5,000 assorted nutcrackers has welcomed visitors from 44 states and 38 different countries.






Elise Miller

 

elise.jpgMiss Elise is a graduate of Wenatchee High School. Elise has studied Ballet with several instructors including Joan Shelton, Francois Serre, Adriana Felizia, and many other Seattle based instructors. Elise has also studied Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip-hop and Modern while at ADPA.

Besides being an important member of the ADPA Sr. Master Class and competition classes, she has also been an assistant instructor for several years.

This will be Elise’s fourth year as an ADPA instructor. She will be taking on many classes including Jazz, Lyrical and several of the School of Ballet classes. Miss Elise will be attending the National Teacher Conference for certified instructors this coming August in New York.

ADPA is happy to have her as part of our teaching staff.


Andrea Anderson

 

Miss Andrea is a former ADPA student and Master Class Competitor.  She has taught at ADPA for several years including jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, adult and children's specialty classes.  She has an Associate of Arts degree and studied special education classes at Wenatchee Valley College.  She also possesses a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Applied Psychology from City University.  Miss Andrea studied early childhood dance classes under the instruction of Ms. Arlene Wagner. She has completed teaching courses specializing in early childhood dance classes at the National Dance Teachers Conference in New York. Miss Andrea completed a ten week trial/assessment on the best ways to keep a child's attention.   She will be our Director of Children's Specialty Classes, Adult Classes, Preschool and Kindercombo classes.  When not teaching at ADPA she teaches Sunday School at New Song Community Church.  We are fortunate to have her as part of our teaching staff.


 

Kourtney Sullivan

 

Kourtney.jpgWhile growing up in the Wenatchee Valley, Miss Kourtney began her dancing career at the age of seven. She studied under various instructors including Miss Tracy. While attending Pioneer Middle School she added cheer team captain and later while at Wenatchee High School, varsity cheerleader to her portfolio. After graduation Miss Kourtney moved to Southern California to pursue her dancing career. During the past three years she has attended Fullerton College pursuing her degree in dance while studying with a variety of dance professionals. During that time she was selected to participate in the American College Dance Festival in Oxford Mississippi and Irvine California for two consecutive years. In the Fall she will be attending California State University pursuing her Undergraduate Degree in Dance and Fashion Merchandising. She will be teaching Solo and Small Group at ADPA during the Summer. We are excited to have her as an addition to our teaching staff.

Adriana Vidaurri Felizia

 

1334001-1640212-thumbnail.jpgMiss Adriana was born in Mexico City and attended the Intercontinental University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. She was also a professional model during her time there. Miss Adriana began studying ballet at the Heroes de la Libertad School. She studied jazz, tap and ballet for several years at Ema Pulido Studio, a professional dance studio. Miss Adriana was involved in the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" for three years in Mexico. She was one of the principal dancers and worked the the Choreography while there. She then studied under the famous Russian ballet dancer, Dariush.

Miss Adriana now lives Wenatchee, married, with two young sons. She has been employed by the Wenatchee School District as a substitute teacher. Continuing to share her love of dance, she taught ballet at ADPA for several years. In 2003 she attended the Royal Academy of Dance in London taking intensive teachers training for advance levels of ballet.
She is a CERTIFIED Zumba instructor and has been teaching Zumba for three years. Miss Adriana will be teaching the Zumba classes and possibly an adult ballet class this year at ADPA.
